Hey - So Etsy, meetup.com and Readymade Magazine are encouraging folks to get together to craft up and get some community. We like that idea.

So, we’re finding a spot and will meet on June 18th(etsy’s birthday) at 6:30 to do some art and stuff. We’ll let you know the details as soon as they become available, but we REALLY NEED YOU TO RSVP BY JUNE 6 OVER AT MEETUP if you’re interested in coming! Why? If you’re coming to our site after seeing our installation “Crafty Avenue” at Art | Everywhere, welcome! We’re so happy you’re interested in the 7 Cities Crafters.

The 7 Cities Crafters are a group of crafty people, artists and creatives. We have monthly craft-togethers the first Sunday evening of each month where we share food, share skills, work on projects and just have fun being around like minded creative people. They’re free and open to the public. Every now and then we host a crafting workshop or put on a craft show.

Art | Everywhere

Never mind galleries and museums; this isn’t that kind of show. Art|Everywhere is a celebration of Downtown Norfolk and all that it could be.

For twelve remarkable weeks this spring and summer, empty storefront windows along Granby Street in Downtown Norfolk will be transformed by art. The corridor will be one monumental gallery. The windows and facades of vacant properties will be the walls. And it will all commence with an opening night celebration where we’ll fill the streets with art lovers.
